Chamoli Avalanche: 4 Out 50 Rescued BRO Workers Died, Search Mission Underway; CM Dhami Conducts Aerial Survey

Fifty-five Border Roads Organisation (BRO) labourers were trapped under several feet of snow in the high-altitude after an avalanche hit Mana village in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district on Friday and Sandeep Tewari, DC Chamoli, said that so far 50 of them were saved only five are yet to be rescued. An Army spokesperson told media that four out of the 50 rescued workers have died.

Rescuers resumed the search operation for the trapped labourers on Saturday morning as the weather cleared up. The Army spokesperson told PTI that six helicopters, including three of the Indian Army Aviation, two of the IAF and one civil copter hired by the Army,betef casino are engaged in the rescue operations.

Telangana Tunnel Collapse: Rescue Ops Continue, TBM Parts Being Cut To Reach Stranded SLBC Workers

Days after the partial collapse of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel IN Telangana, rescue operations are going in full swing to extricate the eight trapped workers. In a bid to make way to reach the stranded persons, the teams have engaged in cutting down a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).

As per PTI, the trapped persons have been identified as Manoj Kumar (UP), Sri Niwas (UP), Sunny Singh (J&K), Gurpreet Singh (Punjab) and Sandeep Sahu, Jegta Xess, Santosh Sahu and Anuj Sahau, all from Jharkhand. Of the eight, two are engineers, two are operators and the remaining four are labourers. The tunnel collapsed on February 22.
