Iga Swiatek's defence of her Indian Wells title continued on Sunday as she eased past Dayana Yastremska in straight sets. (More Tennis News)

After rolling past Caroline Garcia in her opening match of the tournament, Swiatek produced the same scoreline on Sunday, winning 6-0 6-2 in just one hour and five minutes. 

The world number two started the opening set with a break of serve, before taking the early advantage at a canter, recording her second bagel of the tournament so far. 

Yastremska, a victim of her over-aggressive groundstrokes and Swiatek's consistency, finally got on the board 53 minutes into the contest when the Pole sent a backhand long.

Though Swiatek saw her 10-game winning streak end, the damage had already been done, finishing the contest with a fierce return that Yastremska could not get over the net.

Auger-Aliassime won the first game on his serve, but it was all one-way traffic after that, as Alcaraz won the next six in a row to take the first set in just 40 minutes.

Swiatek has played arguably her best tennis at Indian Wells, with her quest to become the first woman to win the title three times off to a flying start. 

Indeed, only Serena Williams (21) has registered 20 women's singles match wins at Indian Wells in fewer matches than Swiatek (22), since the event's inauguration in 1989.

She has also now equalled Caroline Wozniacki (31) for the second-most 6-0 sets of any player at WTA-1000 events, trailing only Victoria Azarenka (33) since the format's introduction in 2009.

No player with at least 20 completed sets at this level has posted a better ratio of 6-0 sets than Swiatekbilionariopg, who has won 11.6% (31 of 268) of her sets by that scoreline.
